Independent retailers are the heart of our communities. When disaster strikes, we step in restoring stores, livelihoods, and hope. The Independent Rebuild Project brings together vendor partners, industry experts, and volunteers to give struggling retailers a second chance.
Rebuilding Hope in Asheville
Every independent retailer has a story. This August, we’re stepping in to help a Main Street favorite write their next chapter.
Dogwood Darlings is a beloved women’s boutique nestled in the heart of Asheville, NC. Known for its warm southern charm, unique apparel, and commitment to community, this small business has faced an uphill battle after a devastating natural disaster damaged their storefront and disrupted daily operations.
That’s where The Independent Rebuild Project comes in.
From August 12–14, volunteers and vendor partners will gather in Asheville to help rebuild Dogwood Darlings—restoring the physical space, reimagining the store layout, and reenergizing this cherished business so it can once again thrive on Main Street.
This isn’t just about repairing walls. It’s about restoring dreams. And we’d love your help to make it happen.
