On December 2, 2025, Heart on Main Street will join nonprofits across the globe in celebrating Giving Tuesday, a day dedicated to generosity and community. For us, this day is about more than raising funds. It is about uniting partners, retailers, and supporters around one mission: keeping independent retailers strong so Main Streets can thrive.
This year, our campaign theme is One Day. One Heart. Endless Impact. And we are inviting select corporate partners to step into a leadership role as Match Partners.
What is a Match Partner?
A Match Partner commits to matching donations made to Heart on Main Street during Giving Tuesday. This means that when an individual donates, their gift is instantly doubled.
A $50 donation becomes $100.
A $500 donation becomes $1,000.
A $5,000 donation becomes $10,000.
Matching gifts inspire donors to give more, knowing that every dollar will go twice as far. Studies consistently show that donors are 80% more likely to give when a match is available. That is the power of partnership.
Why Match Partners Matter
Independent retailers are at the heart of our communities. They are the shopkeepers, neighbors, and entrepreneurs who bring vibrancy and character to Main Streets. But when disaster strikes, they face uphill battles: rebuilding stores, replacing inventory, restoring livelihoods, and keeping their doors open.
Heart on Main Street provides grants, education, mentorship, and hands-on rebuild projects to help these retailers recover and grow stronger. In the past year alone, we have:
Provided $45,000 in disaster recovery grants to retailers across the country.
Launched our first Independent Rebuild Project in Asheville, bringing together corporate partners, volunteers, and local community members to restore a hurricane-damaged shop.
Connected retailers with donated inventory, business education, and mentorship opportunities.
The need continues to grow. Each year, natural disasters impact hundreds of small retailers, and their recovery directly affects the vitality of entire communities.
